Cookie Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tea spoon baking soda
- 3 cups of flour
- 1 tea spoon vanilla
Filling ingredients:
- 1 can dulce de Luche
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 cup of toasted chopped walnuts
Other essentials:
- Yellow food coloring
- Orange food coloring
- Red food coloring
- Sugar for dipping ( approx 1 cup )
- Water
- 4 bowls
Instructions:
Beat together eggs and sugar.
Add 1 stick of soft butter.
Add baking soda to 1/4 cup of sour cream and mix, this will activate the baking soda. Add to your batter.
Slowly while mixing add your flour and 1 tea spoon vanilla extract.
Once your batter is nice and smooth and all ingredients combined. Use the smallest ice cream scoop to make your shapes or you can use a table spoon.
Use your wet hands to flatten it out a little.
Bake at 350 for 20 min
Let your cookies cool completely. At same time you can toast your nuts.
When they cooled use a tea spoon to scoop up the inside of cookies to make a small whole for the filling
Making your cream. Using a mixer, lightly beat 1 stick of soft butter with 1 can of dulce de Luche.
Add nuts and left over crumbs.
Fill each cookie with your cream. You can use a piping bag to make it easier. Close two sides together.
Fill 3 bowls with a little bit of water.
Add food coloring in each bowl. Making yellow bowl, orange and red.
One 4th bowl with just sugar.
Dip a cookie into easy food coloring water rotating sides and than roll it in sugar.
Set in the fridge for few hours before serving
