Ingredients:
- 4 beef short ribs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3 table spoons creole seasoning
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 cups of chicken stock
- 1 cup of red wine
- 1 can of fire roasted tomatoes
- 2 table spoons of paprika
- 1 table spoons of mustard powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups of water.
- 1 tea spoon butter
- 1-2 cup Parmesan cheese
- Parsley for garnish
- Combine flour with creole seasoning.
- Dip each rib into flour and seasoning and sauté on each side till Golden brown in a deep skillet or pot.
- Chop onions and carrots, add to the pot.
- Add pressed garlic. Sauté till veggies get tender.
- Pour in wine, chicken stock and canned tomatoes and water.
- Add all the seasoning including salt and pepper. I like to taste my broth for salt. Approximately 1-2 tea spoons.
- Cover and cook for 2 hours.
- Boil water and cook gnocchi according to the package.
- Drain the water add tea spoon of butter and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese.
- How to serve it , use a deep pasta dish or bowl. Pour the sauce from the ribs on the bottom of the bowl, place gnocchi on top and top it with braised rib.
- Garnish it with parsley.
