Scrumptious Chicken Skewers entire family will love!

These skewers are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It is  one of our kids favorites. This is a great dish to serve to your guests or to bring to any party. You can make it in advance and just reheat it in the oven prior to serving.

Ingredients for the Skewers

Chicken – Chicken thighs are perfect for this dish, they absorb so much flavor and always turn out juicy as compared to chicken breast.

Seasonings-  Garlic salt is a seasoning that can make anything taste great same with creole seasoning. These two seasonings are a staple in our house. It is a great way to infuse it with lots of flavor in a short amount of time.

Italian Bread crumbs- Italian bread crumbs have lots of flavor on its own which saves you on time and ingredients trying to add flavor to the bread crumbs.

  • 8-10 wooded skewers soak in water for 30 minutes prior to cooking

Ingredients

  • 10 pieces Chicken Thighs
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Creole seasoning If you don't have creole just add additional 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/2 tsp of paprika instead.
  • 4 cups Italian Bread Crumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Trim any extra fat from Chicken Thighs and cut each Chicken thigh into Four to six pieces
  • Whisk eggs with all the seasonings and a table spoon of sour cream.
  • Add cut chicken thigh pieces into whisked eggs and seasoning, let it marinade for 15-30 min.
  • Soak skewers in water for 30 min prior to cooking. This can be done at the same time chicken is marinading.
  • Fill each skewer with small chicken pieces to the size of your skillet.
  • Preheat heat your oil in a skillet large enough to fit your skewers, the oil should cover about 1 inch of your skillet. I like to use coco sunflower oil or avocado oil for frying. you can use whatever oil you like as long as it can hold up to high heat.
  • Once your oil is heated through, ( to know your oil is hot enough look for ripples in your oil, if it has them than it is hot enough to fry)
  • fry each side of the skewer about 5 minutes per side on medium heat.
  • These can be served both hot or cold. Enjoy
