Nutty Dulce De Leche Cake

Ingredients: Cake: 6 eggs 1 cup sugar 1 tea spoon of vanilla extract 1 cup of flour 1 cup of toasted ground walnuts ( I used my food processor for this ) Chocolate ganache: 1 cup of heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup of milk 3/4

5 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup toasted chopped walnuts

1 8 oz package cream cheese

1 can dulce de Luche

1/3 cup heavy cream

White candy dipping chocolate


Gum paste wire ( green ) sold at Joan’s Fabric or Walmart


Preheat oven to 350

Cake mix:

With stand mixer Beat eggs till fluffy , slowly add sugar , add vanilla. Beat for 5 min. Turn off mixer. Sift flour ,Using spatula mix flour till all well incorporated. Take 9” inch baking pan spray with butter and transfer batter into the pan. Bake for 30 min at 350.

Let the cake cool.

Toast walnuts and let them cool.


Beat together soft cream cheese at room temperature with 1 can of dulce de Luche ( Варёная сгущёнка) And 1/3 cup heavy cream till everything is well incorporated.

Using a food processor( you can also do this by hand , crumble cake with your fingers ) transfer chunks of cake into food processor and pulse till everything turns into crumbs. Transfer to a large mixing bowl. In the food processor pulse walnuts to Fine chop transfer to mixing bowl.

Mix well cream , cake crumbs and walnuts. Use a small scoop to make equal size balls, use your hand smoothen the round shape. Place onto a baking sheet aligned with parchment paper. This Portion makes approximately 41 cake pops. Place cake pop sticks into each cake pop. Freeze for 15-20 min.

Using a double boiler ( meaning grab a small pot fill it half way with water and place a larger bowl over the pot.) Place white chocolate into the bowl, when the water starts to heat it will melt the chocolate. (Don’t use a microwave, it is very easy to burn your chocolate in the microwave. )

Constantly mix till all the chocolate is dissolved.

Use the wires to create the hanging string shape as shown in my video.

Take out your cake pops from the freezer, dip each cake pop in the chocolate bang on the side of the bowl to let the extra white chocolate drip and constantly roll so the drops fall into place. Sprinkle chocolate onto top of the cake pop and place it on flat parchment paper area to harden. When the cake pops hardened take out the sticks. Dip the wire strings into white chocolate and place it inside the hole where the stick was.
